Our kindergarten offers a unique learning culture—daily centers that make learning social and fun, phonics-based reading, and a teacher who will know your child by name from day one.
Every day includes learning centers that promote socialization in a learning environment, a morning snack, and an afternoon rest time—the rhythm five-year-olds thrive on. Our kindergartners even take part in community service projects, like collecting personal items and making artwork for neighbors in assisted-care facilities.
Pee-Wee Basketball is open to kindergartners who want to join, and the class takes field trips to places like Leaman’s Green Apple Barn, Johnson’s Pumpkin Patch, Baby Acres, and Bay City State Park.
Your kindergartner is known personally, encouraged daily, and never lost in the crowd.
Bible stories that relate to everyday life, with Christ-like behavior taught throughout the day—plus memory work reciting Bible verses and prayers twice a week.
Phonics, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and sight words—building comprehension across varied genres. The Accelerated Reader program is introduced.
Basic strokes and legible writing, practiced as part of phonics and math work.
Counting, recognizing, writing, and comparing numbers, with addition and subtraction introduced.
Life, Earth, and physical science, plus families, communities, customs, cultures, and America past and present.
Daily access to computers, iPads, Chromebooks, and Smartboards, with technology class twice a week.
