We believe that a Christian education is a vital aspect of God’s commission, commanded by Him to the church through the Great Commission. It is the whole education of the people of God, Regardless of age, carried out under the influence of the Gospel. We believe that a Christian educator is committed to provide for God’s people a complete education under the influence of the gospel, by meeting their spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
Child Care Daily Routine
We provide childcare and early learning activities for children aged newborn through 12 years. The center is split into three individual classrooms. Infant/Toddler (separate groups, but in a shared room), Early preschool, and Preschool/School age. Each classroom follows their own basic routine throughout the day, promoting social, cognitive and physical skills, as well as bible stories and devotions, by exploring through play. The Center is open from 6:30am-5:30pm, M-F throughout the year including summers. We do close for major holidays and for one week of cleaning and maintenance in July.
Childcare uses a theme based planning curriculum. That means each week there is a new theme that children focus on. The Infant/toddler room has certain shapes and colors that they focus on monthly along with weekly specialized themes. The early preschool and preschool/school age classrooms build on color and shape recognition and introduce beginning writing skills. Each room exposes children to bible lessons, math and science, large and small muscle physical activity, literacy, sensory exploration, dramatic play, and cognitive learning.
Program activities will vary by age of children. An example of our daily activities are listed below:
- 6:30 to 9:30 – Arrival and Breakfast
- 9:00 to 9:30 – Large group followed by small group activities
- 9:30-10:00 – A.M. Snack
- 10:00 to 10:40 – Small group activities including art and science
- 10:40-11:15 – Large motor activities outside weather permitting, or gym

One of my duties is to oversee the daily activities of all childcare classrooms and I am the lead Infant Room Caregiver. My responsibilities include all aspects of our Childcare Program, such as administrative duties, Human Resources, billing, scheduling, Licensing (Maintaining State Rules/Laws) fundraising, advertising, and recruiting. I am also involved with parent and family interactions, classroom planning and newsletters. Balancing classroom activities, parent interaction, and administrative work makes me a well-rounded Childcare Director.
I am very close with my family, including my parents and my sisters. I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews and watch their sporting events such as, dance, band, choir, hockey, basketball, and volleyball. I also enjoy Michigan State football! I love being creative and working on projects, especially sewing. I enjoy costume design/construction, alterations and quilting.
I am active in my church, playing handbells, trumpet and Euphonium as well as sing in our choir.
