Our 4 Year Old Preschool program is faith based providing daily centers that develop problem solving skills and promote social-emotional behavior. Their day is structured and follows a daily routine that includes morning and afternoon snacks and an afternoon rest period. Our preschool class is also involved in Community Outreach.
Religion
Students learn Bibles stories and Christian songs. They also engage in hands on activities to guide learning and comprehension.
Reading and Handwriting
A letter is introduced each week; they learn each letter by sight and sound. Our students practice writing skills including their first and last names. They also work on blending sounds and recognizing sight words. Students visit the library each week and present verbal book reports on the books they check out.
Math
Students learn counting, writing, and recognition of numbers. Addition and subtraction 1 -10 is introduced. They also practice sorting, classifying and sequencing activities as well as patterning.
Science
Students conduct hands on experiments and exploration. They use the Science Spin and Let’s Find Out magazines that cover real-world science topics.
Technology
Students have daily access to the iPad Center, where they engage in educational games.
Music
Singing is a part of every day. Students also meet once a week with our music instructor where many different songs and instruments are introduced. They also have an opportunity to perform the songs at church.

I would like to incorporate more hands on science experiments in my classroom. We also work on letter recognition and phonics – it is so rewarding to watch them grow and blend the sounds and create a greater desire to read.
It is one of my goals to share Jesus in every way every day!
