Our teachers know that this is an exciting time for your three year-old and take the time to make them comfortable with their surroundings, classmates and Zion school as a whole. We focus on helping our students learn to work together, introduce school rules, develop fine motor skills and teach them independence. Our preschool teachers are loving and accepting adults who take an active interest in the needs of each child. Using a flexible approach according she will provide educational experiences to fulfill them.
Our three year old preschool is in session three mornings a week and afternoon child care is offered.
Religion
Each week students learn various Bible stories and about the love of Jesus from One in Christ from Concordia Publishing House. They also color pictures that tell the same story.
Literacy
A letter is introduced each week as we working through the alphabet. Centers are created based on the letter of the week. Students start working on letter and sound recognition. Each child has a journal to work on letters, practice writing, and create their own.

Our students review basic shapes, colors, and numbers. Centers are used throughout the year to sort objects, compare lengths, and working on big and small as well as other math skills.
Science
We combine hands on experiments that coincide with the Letter of the Week themes.

Put Names on ALL Student Items
I teach 3-year old preschool through hands on activities that help them learn their letters, shapes, and numbers. I also have a Jesus curriculum that teaches them about how God made everyone special and how he made the world and them.
I would like to see all my students progress in their speech, recognition, writing, and other fine-motor skills. I hope that they can write part or all of their name and learn about God.
I believe God blessed me with the passion to teach children. I love being able to teach our little ones about God as well as all the necessary academic knowledge. I am their role model and I must show them, inside and outside of school, to live a Christian life. I am here to guide these little ones and help them flourish in not just academic development, but spiritual, social, physical, and emotional development as well
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

My favorite lessons to teach are the letters of the Alphabet and the daily Bible story that goes along with a coloring activity because these always interest the children and provide a variety of ways to present the lesson.
I love telling children how unique and special God has made each of them and they are special the way they are. I also love sharing my passion for reading books and encourage individual and group reading.
