3 Year Old Preschool
Our teachers know that this is an exciting time for your three year-old and take the time to make them comfortable with their surroundings, classmates and Zion school as a whole. We focus on helping our students learn to work together, introduce school rules, develop fine motor skills and teach them independence. Our preschool teachers are loving and accepting adults who take an active interest in the needs of each child. Using a flexible approach according she will provide educational experiences to fulfill them.
Our three year old preschool is in session three mornings a week and afternoon child care is offered.
Religion
Students learn Bibles stories and Christian songs. They also engage in hands on activities to guide learning and comprehension.
Reading and Handwriting
A letter is introduced each week; they learn each letter by sight and sound. Our students practice writing skills including their first and last names. They also work on blending sounds and recognizing sight words. Students visit the library each week and present verbal book reports on the books they check out.
Math
Students learn counting, writing, and recognition of numbers. Addition and subtraction 1 -10 is introduced. They also practice sorting, classifying and sequencing activities as well as patterning.
Science
Students conduct hands on experiments and exploration. They use the Science Spin and Let’s Find Out magazines that cover real-world science topics.
Technology
Students have daily access to the iPad Center, where they engage in educational games.
Music
Singing is a part of every day. Students also meet once a week with our music instructor where many different songs and instruments are introduced. They also have an opportunity to perform the songs at church.

Olivia Gwizdala
3 Year Old Preschool Teacher
I teach preschool here at Zion. This is my first year of head teaching and I am enjoying it very much. My students call me Ms. Olivia One of my favorite things about teaching at Zion Lutheran School is watching all the kids grow and making a great bond with other teachers.
I attended Delta College and received my Child Development Associate credential, CPR and First Aid to prepare working as a preschool teacher.
My hobbies and favorite things to do outside my classroom is hunting, fishing, racing derby cars, and spending time with my family and friends.
My family consists of my mom, dad, and brother. I also have two cats Callie and Babygirl.
