Remember all those amazing lunches Miss Sarah made us? I really miss the Beef and Broccoli day for sure! Now would be the time of the school year Mrs. Laboda starts reminding all of us about our hot lunch bill.
Even Mrs. Glumm had a hefty bill, but it was worth it! My tummy was happy! A hot lunch balance will be sent via fast direct to you, as well as included in your next pick up packet. Thanks for your help taking care of these fees. The fees will show up as a balance owed for the 2020-2021 school year, and that would be a shock after being out of school for so long!
Please mail in those registrations and the registration fees to the school address listed below. Reminder Pre-3 will be Monday’s and Friday’s. Pre-4 will be Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s.
There will be classroom parties/graduation for this year’s preschool classes as soon as the stay at home order is lifted. I believe our children need closure on this past school year.
Registration for the 2020-2021 school year is open online. The school website, https://school.zionbaycity.org has enrollment forms, emergency cards, and other forms now available. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent to you with registration and tuition balances. For quick access links are located in the footer of the website.
Next week we will have special visitors at Zion from Michigan for our Accreditation Visit. As you know Mrs. Glumm and others have been working very hard over the past year to get ready for our Accreditation and are very excited to have the team come to Zion. Don’t forget Pre-3 will be singing at our 5:00 pm worship service.

We are also offering a group piano lessons for ages 7 – 12 years old, cost is $10 per student per 45 a minute lesson. Contact Bobbie Jo if you are interested.
We are celebrating Reading Month by ” Jurassic Park Dinosaur Escape.” To escape the park, your child needs to read the designated amount set by their teacher. Once their dinosaur escapes the park, they can rest easy on a tropical island dedicated for dinosaur fun.
March is Reading month and once again we are holding a Read-A-Thon. The Read-A-Thon is a fundraiser where students record the minutes they read and get donations from family and friends to support Zion Lutheran School. The fundraiser begins March 1.
